Parkavonear Castle, Aghadoe, Co Kerry
No much is known of Parkavonear Castle except that it was probably built in the 13th century. Locals refer to this castle as "The Bishops Chair" and "The Pulpit", though for unknown reasons.
Poulnabrone Dolmen, the Burren, Co Clare
The Poulnabrone Dolmen is a portal tomb which dates back to about 2500 BC. It is one of only four known in Clare, one of only two in the Burren, and the best preserved in all of Ireland.
Powerscourt Estate, Enniskerry, Co Wicklow
At the foot of the Sugar Loaf Mountains, Powerscourt Estate is said to contain Ireland's finest gardens. They were commissioned in the 1730s by Richard Wingfield, who was the 1st Viscount of Powerscourt.
Puxley Manor, Castletownberehaven, Co Cork
Puxley Manor is on the estate of Dunboy Castle on the Beara Peninsula in Castletownbere. This one time grand estate, on Ireland's southwest coast of County Cork, was in use until the 1920's when it was bombed out by local IRA who believed that the owners were storing weapons for the opposition.
