GREYSTONES
County Wicklow

Greystone Harbour & Village

Greystones is a quiet little town on the edge of the Irish Sea. The Sugar Loaf Mountain is the backdrop and the famous Bray Head the only thing separating the Greystones seafront with the Bray seafront. There's a cliff walk from Bray to Greystones and the train travels between them along the coast to Dublin.

This is a sleepy fishing town with a snug little harbour. It's not uncommon to see boats upturned on the shore (photo left) during the summer months.

Quaint shops and restaurants make this town a great escape from the mad rush of the city.

Visitors can walk along the shore or further along beside the rocky shore, where it's only obvious where this town got its name (photo right), from the blue-grey stones that make up the coastline of this part of County Wicklow.
