Swiss family Gysling opened Harvey's Point Hotel in 1989 on
the shores of beautiful Lough Eske. Swiss chalet-style cottages
are linked by covered walkways and pergolas which create an
Alpine atmosphere. The low-level design of the complex allows
for views of the lough and mountains from most areas of the
hotel, and has a low environmental impact while providing guests
with luxurious accommodation and modern conveniences. All bedrooms
are en-suite and purposefully designed to give guests a sense
of seclusion and privacy, and include all modern conveniences
guests come to expect in luxury hotels. All rooms are elegantly
decorated and most have views of the lough, with French doors
opening onto rolling lawns from the ground floor. Some rooms
have four-poster beds while all rooms have king size beds, large
sunken baths and twin basins.
Guest gardens stretch all the way to the shores of the lough.
There are five room types, including Courtyard, Executive, Deluxe
and Premium rooms and Penthouse suites.
Harvey's Point Hotel is well-known for its award-winning cuisine.
They hold two AA Rosette Awards and the RAC Blue Ribbon Award
for Excellence. The menu is mainly French, but there is something
on it for everyone. Guests can enjoy the bar and after-hours
guest lounge.
Far from the bustling crowds, Harveys is ideal for romantic
weekend getaways.
