Rivermount House was built in 1992 and has recently undergone a complete refurbishment and upgrade. This B&B now more resembles a boutique hotel than a family home. The new decor is on an Art Deco theme and distinctly feminine. There is a stylish opulence here while maintaining a warm and welcoming atmosphere. All rooms are en-suite and include coffee/tea making facilities, TV, phone, internet access. This house uniquely offers 110V power points in rooms for North American guests. There is a guest lounge with panoramic views of the Bandon River.

This is an excellent location for a few days around Kinsale and neighboring communities. Cork City is just 30 minutes drive.

The host and hostess are as nice as can be. The rooms are beautifully appointed and they have both 220 and 110 electric for their guests convenience. They also have wi-fi for those of us who travel with our computers. The food is also wonderful. The scrambled eggs wrapped in smoked salmon and Claire's famous pancakes are out of this world. They also serve a regular Irish breakfast along with a breakfast bar of juices, cereals, fruits and yogurt.
