Maranatha County House is a lovely Victorian mansion situated
high on a hill between the villages of Blarney and Tower. This
is an old family home that's been converted into a B&B.
Spacious and romantic themed bedrooms with large, ornate beds,
sometimes four-poster. Rooms include the Claddagh Room, Rose
Room, Regal Suite and Honeymoon Suite, Emerald and Lilac. This
house is set on private well-manicured grounds surrounded by
large grassy lawns and indiginous trees and wild rhododendrons.
Wild woodland creatures, such and rabbits and fox, are often
seen here in the Spring. Meals are all prepared with fresh local
ingredients.
There is a real sense of the Victorian era with the whole
atmosphere created for guests with a great collection of period
antiques and the beautiful handmade soft furnishings. A grand
sweeping staircase leads guests to their rooms. The old parlor
is filled with antiques around the fire, and the original gilt
mirror over the hearth. Excellent hospitality, freshly prepared
meals, and theme rooms make a stay here memorable.

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon the end of
August and had a lovely time. Her rooms and house are absolutely
beautiful and she is a great host. She has two big dogs but
they are friendly so don't be scared. 5 min from Blarney castle!
