Ballykealey Manor is set on grounds once the seat of the Lecky
family who ruled here for over three centuries. The house was
designed by Thomas A. Cobden in the 1830s using both Gothic
and Tudor forms of architecture styles, which gives the house
it's unique character. The house has been refurbished in recent
years and retains all of the charm and elegance of the original
house while offering guests the benefits of modern amenities.
All bedrooms are Individually designed and en-suite. The Oak
Room was previously the drawing room and library, and retains
many original features including ten-foot solid oak dividing
doors, hand-carved oak bookcases and fine cornices and mouldings.
John Rupert's Bar includes the guest lounge and offers a more
relaxed atmosphere for casual dining.
Fifteen new two bedroom self-catering apartments have recently
opened, offering guests long term stay by weekly arrangement.
