REVIEW
The Shelbourne Hotel is probably Ireland's
most distinguished hotel. Dating back to 1824, the
Shelbourne can boast being one of the first buildings
in Ireland to have indoor electricity. The hotel continues
its history in being the location that the Irish Constitution
was signed in 1922, as a result of the Uprising which
began in 1916. There is a great history here but today
guests can enjoy the hotel as a luxurious and modern
hotel that has seamlessly blended old and new to create
an atmosphere of elegance and sophistication. All
rooms are en suite and offer all of the modern amenities
that guests come to expect in top class hotels. The
leisure center offers top of the line equipment for
over 18s only, including a pool, sauna, steam room,
cardiovascular and jacuzzi to name but a few items.
There are 2 restaurants and 2 bars and the Lord Mayor's
Lounge hosts a traditional Afternoon Tea every afternoon
at traditional tea time.
