REVIEW
Maranatha County House is a Victorian mansion
situated high on a hill between the villages of Blarney
and Tower. This is an old family home that's been
converted into a B&B. This house is set on private
grounds with a woodland surrounding. Spacious and
romantic bedrooms, antiques throughout. Meals are
all prepared fresh.
This is a lovely Victorian mansion set on lovely country
grounds near the famous Blarney in County Cork. Rooms
in this house are all personally and very tastefully
decorated by the innkeeper herself, who grew up in
this house, with accute attention to detail.
The grounds of this house are well manicured. There
is a large grassy garden surrounded by indiginous
trees and wild rhododendrons. Wild woodland creatures,
such and rabbits and fox, are often seen here in the
Spring.
There is a real sense of the Victorian era with the
whole atmosphere created for guests with a great collection
of period antiques and the beautiful handmade soft
furnishings. A must see would be the old parlor which
looks like it must have back in Victorian times, complete
with the huge gilt mirror over the heart. Along with
excellent hospitality and freshly prepared food, a
stay at Maranatha Country House will definitely add
to any guests memories of Ireland.
GUEST COMMENTS
My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon
the end of August and had a lovely time. Her rooms
and house are absolutely beautiful and she is a great
host. She has two big dogs but they are friendly so
don't be scared. 5 min from Blarney castle!

Maranatha and our hostess were beyond belief.
