The Castle at Castletownshend is a unique properties as far as Irish castles go. This is an 18th century castle set in the tiny hamlet of Castletownshend in west County Cork. The castle overlooks Castlehaven Harbour where fishing and trapping is still done today. Most rooms have sea views. There is a guest lounge available with TV and coffee/tea facilities. Breakfast is in an elegant dining room. And there are private gardens available for guests. This is a simple accommodation but offers a wonderful chance to relax in a historic property. Forget work, responsibility and the big city and stay in this most relaxing house.
